After her marriage, she moved in with her partner. But she couldn't bring herself to sell her Toulouse flat. It was her city, her roots. She needed to keep a pied-à-terre in her native region.
The flat is now her second home. She returns regularly. The rest of the time, she occasionally rents it out to friends and family. But above all, she wanted a place of her own. A refuge where she could find herself, breathe, take time for herself.
The place had to look like her. It had to be designed with her needs and desires in mind. A space that would welcome her back every time. A refuge, not just a flat.
The floor sets the tone. White tiles with golden veins, laid throughout the living area - entrance hall, kitchen, lounge, dining room. Repeated in the kitchen splashback. Warm despite the material. Prestigious without being cold.
The kitchen combines golden marble, light wood and handleless lacquered fronts. The shower room plays with a grey and white chequerboard that accentuates the atypical architecture of the ceiling. Spacious shower and thoughtful storage.
The master bedroom features a floral panel at the head of the bed and a bespoke double dressing room with integrated dressing table. A place to take your time. Calmly do your hair. Putting on make-up before an appointment. To live out your feminine rituals.
The guest bedroom, in navy blue, white and salmon, offers comfort and privacy with an integrated dressing room.
Reinforced insulation from the inside - walls and floor - to keep the building comfortable in summer and winter, despite its garden level.
