For ten years, Christian Ignace has managed projects for interior designers in Paris. He has observed a recurring paradox: a brilliant creative vision on the one hand, real technical constraints on the other, and a gulf between the two.
One day, a building site is blocked. The project was stalling. Christian unsuccessfully questioned the project's chief architect. May Stellar, the artistic director at the time, took over the plans that evening. She asked simple questions, made sketches and proposed a vision that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The next day, the client approved the new vision. The worksite began again.
That evening, something clicked: What if Design & Build were thought through together, right from the start?
May is training as an interior designer. Christian refuses all projects without her. Studio May Stellar was born.
Christian Ignace is a renovation project manager with over 15 years' experience. He manages the execution of each project and remains present on site, because excellence is built on the ground.
May Stellar has been an interior designer for 7 years. Trained as an art director, she has worked with 4-5* hotels and magazines such as Numéro and L'Officiel. She applies this rigour to every architectural project she designs. Before drawing, she listens. For her, a place is a continuation of the people who live there.
