Complete renovation - 80m² - Paris 19ème - Buttes-Chaumont

A dark, partitioned flat that had been stagnant for decades. Our client, a fashion designer, receives a lot of guests and was looking for a bright, spacious pied-à-terre where everyone could meet. A living space that breathes and adapts to the moment. He wanted to entertain six people at table, then transform the space into a bedroom when he was alone. A place that follows his rhythm, not the other way round.

Materials and crafts

The solid oak parquet meets the natural stone of the bathrooms. The Murano glass, a unique piece commissioned from a Venetian master glassmaker, structures the space with its sculptural presence. Andrée Putman's furniture provides a rare graphic sobriety. Leather, velvet, brushed brass: each material has been selected for its ability to age with nobility.

Light and Volume

The complete removal of partitions frees up 50m² all in one piece. Light floods into the flat from east to west. The white lacquered joinery amplifies this transparency. The result is a space that's both pure and warm, that can finally breathe.

Structural control

This 60s building has non-negotiable load-bearing walls. Our answer: a made-to-measure foldaway bed, integrated into a lacquered bookcase that disappears into the architecture. The living room becomes a bedroom in 10 seconds, without altering the structure. The shower room was completely relocated and redesigned, with drains and water inlets redistributed. Six months of design for a place that adapts to the rhythm of life of a creator who entertains or isolates himself according to the moment.
